We are excited to announce another activity organized by the Sharon Chinese Association (SCA)– A series of professional development panel discussions open to all interested members and friends of SCA. The purposes of the series are to encourage networking among Sharon Chinese professional in all areas, as well as provide career path information to students entering colleges or workforce.
Five sessions have been planned so far, including Finance, Math and Statistics, Engineering, IT, and Biotech. More sessions will be added based on participants’ interests.
Our first session is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19th at 7-8:15pm at the Community Room in Canton Library.
Speaking in the first session are:
Keying Shen – Tax compliance experience with Providence Equity Partners and PwC Boston Office. Keying holds BBA & MSA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst
John Tong, CPA – John is experienced in auditing, general accounting, and financial analysis areas. John received an MBA from Brandeis University.
Xiaofeng (Frank) Xia, CFA, Vice President and Quantitative Analyst, Wellington Management – Frank is responsible for researching investment strategies at the stock and sector level and communicating research results. Frank holds an MS in computational finance from Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in mathematics from Emory University, an MS in applied mathematics for Peking University.
Rui Zhang, FSA, MAAA, Actuary, John Hancock Financial Services – Rui had various actuarial positions in John Hancock, currently leads Company’s capital management area. Rui has an MS in actuarial science from Boston University. Rui is a fellow of the society of actuaries, she is also a member of the Chinese Atuarial Club Boston Chapter, and is a frequent speaker at the CAC events.
