Sharon Chinese Association (“SCA”) will host the third session of the Professional Development series open to all interested members of SCA and friends. The purposes of the series are to encourage networking among Sharon Chinese professional in all areas, as well as to provide career paths information to students entering colleges or workforce.

Speakers: Haifeng Ge, Mei Zhang, Da Ha, Xiaodong Tian
Haifang Ge – Haifeng is an Energy Analyst in Boston Energy Trading and Marketing. His work is related to energy trading, focusing on power trading. Before coming to Boston, Haifeng was a Lead Engineer in ISO New England, which controls New England’s power system. He was a consulting engineering in ABB on production cost simulation and asset management business. Haifeng holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and a Senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
Mei Zhang – Dr. Mei Zhang is the Vice President of Engineering at Zyno Medical. She leads R&D, sustaining engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, global supplier management, regulatory compliance, and customer service. Her passion for innovation has resulted in 10+ patents / applications. Prior to joining Zyno Medical, Mei worked at Metis Design Corporation and Sensata Technologies, after completing her post-doctoral research at MIT.
Da Ha – Dr. Ha has been working as a consultant on public and commercial buildings, highway and railroad structures, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants, levees, tunnels, micro-tunneling, and buried pipelines. Dr. Ha has performed project management duties such as coordination of field and office work, project staffing, project accounting and billing management on projects of various sizes and types. Dr. Ha holdsa Ph.D. degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Xiaodong Tian – Xiaodong is a senior principal engineer with Hazen and Sawyer, a company that helps our clients provide safe drinking water and controlling water pollution. He has been doing research and design in water related areas for 20 years, specializing in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, water/wastewater treatment hydraulics, storm water management, and computer programming for data analysis. Xiaodong is a professional engineer registered in Maryland and holds a PhD in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
